Post-wise Essential Qualifications & Requirements

1. Scientist – Post Code S2501 (5 Posts)

Qualification:

• Ph.D. (Science) submitted in Chemistry/Chemical Sciences.

Desirable Areas:
Electrochemical hydrogen generation, catalyst & membrane development, electrolyser technology, battery systems (Li-ion, Na-ion, solid-state, redox flow), electrochemical synthesis, electroplating processes, metal extraction, CCUS, polymer membranes, water treatment technologies.

2. Scientist – Post Code S2502 (1 Post, SC, Mandapam Unit)

Qualification:

• Ph.D. (Science) in Chemistry/Chemical Sciences.

Desirable Areas:
Atmospheric/marine corrosion, corrosion protection techniques.

3. Scientist – Post Code S2503 (3 Posts)

Qualification:

• M.E./M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering/Technology.

Desirable Areas:
Energy storage and conversion systems, catalyst/membrane development, electrochemical reactor design, CCUS, CFD simulations, fluid flow and heat transfer modeling, techno-economic studies, AI/ML-based process design.

4. Scientist – Post Code S2504 (2 Posts)

Qualification:

• M.E./M.Tech. in Metallurgical/Materials Science/Engineering.

Desirable Areas:
Electrometallurgy, metal extraction, smart coatings, PVD/CVD, additive manufacturing powders, e-waste recycling and metal recovery.

5. Scientist – Post Code S2505 (2 Posts)

Qualification:

• M.E./M.Tech. in Thermal/Fluid Engineering / Mechanical Engineering (Thermal/Fluid specialization).

Desirable Areas:
CFD/FEA modeling, high-temperature electrolysis, design of compressors, chillers, pressure vessels, CAD modeling, energy systems.

6. Scientist – Post Code S2506 (2 Posts, Mandapam Unit)

Qualification:

• Ph.D. (Science) in Marine Biology/Microbiology/Marine Sciences.

Desirable Areas:
Microbial corrosion, marine corrosion, biofouling prevention, corrosion control methods.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced R&D in the assigned specialization.

• Contribute to CSIR’s interdisciplinary research programs.

• Prepare competitive research proposals for external funding.

• Teach UG/PG/Ph.D. courses based on specialization.
