Recruitment for Junior Assistant & Junior Accountant at Kamarajar Port Limited 2026: Apply online till 28th March 2026

Kamarajar Port Limited (KPL), Chennai has announced recruitment for Junior Assistant and Junior Accountant posts. The recruitment process is being conducted by the National Productivity Council on behalf of KPL. Eligible candidates can apply online within the prescribed dates.

Kamarajar Port Limited is one of India’s major ports located on the east coast near Chennai and operates as a corporatized major port under the Companies Act.

Post Details

Total vacancies: 14 posts

Reservation for categories such as UR, OBC, EWS, and SC will be applicable as per Government of India norms.

Eligibility Criteria

Junior Assistant

• Qualification: Any Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or institute (regular course).

Junior Accountant

• Qualification: B.Com with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university (regular course).

Experience is not mandatory for both posts.

Age Limit

Maximum age limit for both posts: 30 years (as on 27 February 2026).

Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government rules:

• SC/ST – 5 years

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 years

• PwBD – 10 years (additional relaxation for reserved categories)

• Government/PSU employees – 5 years

• Ex-servicemen – As per Government norms 

Application Fee

The fee must be paid through the online payment gateway available on the application portal.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT).

• Total Questions: 120

• Total Marks: 120

• Duration: 90 minutes

• Negative Marking: ¼ mark for each incorrect answer

Minimum qualifying marks:

• General – 40%

• OBC/EWS – 35%

• SC/ST/PwBD – 30%

Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification and medical examination before final appointment.
