KVS NVS Recruitment 2025 – Apply online for 14,967 Teaching & Non-Teaching Posts

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS)—both autonomous bodies under the Ministry of Education—have released a massive Recruitment Notification 01/2025 for 14,967 vacancies across India. The CBSE will conduct the online application and recruitment process on behalf of KVS & NVS.

KVS and NVS recruitment 2025 is one of the biggest national-level teacher recruitment drives, covering Posts from PGTs, TGTs, PRTs, Special Educators, Librarians to various administrative and support staff positions.

Who Can Apply? — Key Eligibility Highlights

Educational Qualifications (Post-wise)

A detailed qualification matrix is provided in the notification. Broadly:

Teaching Posts

• PGTs: Master’s Degree with 50% marks, B.Ed., or Integrated PG with B.Ed.

• PGT (Computer Science/PE/MIL): Relevant Master’s degree, B.Ed., subject-specific criteria.

• TGTs (Hindi/English/Sanskrit/Maths/Science/Social Science/Regional Languages):

  • Graduation with 50% marks in concerned subjects (or 4-year integrated degree),

  • B.Ed.,

  • CTET Paper-II qualified.

• TGT (Art, Music, WE, Computer Science, Physical Education): Specific professional degrees + B.Ed. as applicable.

• PRT:

  • 12th with 50% + 2-year D.El.Ed. OR

  • 12th with 50% + 4-year B.El.Ed. OR

  • 12th + D.Ed. Special Education.

  • CTET Paper-I compulsory.

• PRT Music: Bachelor’s Degree in Music.

Special Educators (TGT & PRT)

• Graduation/12th + RCI-recognized special education qualification.

• RCI Registration mandatory.

• CTET Paper-I/II as applicable.

Non-Teaching Posts – Key Qualifications

• Administrative Officer: Graduate + 3 years as Section Officer.

• Finance Officer: Commerce degree + 4 years experience / MBA (Finance) / CA-Inter etc.

• Assistant Engineer: B.Tech/B.E. (Civil/Electrical) + 2 years experience.

• ASO / SSA / JSA: Graduation + experience + computer proficiency.

• Junior Secretariat Assistant: 12th + typing speed requirement.

• Stenographers: Graduate + defined shorthand/typing speed.

• Lab Attendant: 10th with Lab Diploma OR 12th with Science.

• MTS: Class X.

Age Limits (Post-wise)

• Assistant Commissioner / Principal: Up to 45–50 years

• Vice Principal: 35–45 years

• PGT: Up to 40 years

• TGT / Librarian / Special Educator: Up to 35 years

• PRT / PRT Music / JSA / Steno-II / MTS / Lab Attendant: Up to 27–30 years

• Administrative & Finance Posts: Up to 35–45 years

Age Relaxation

As per Government norms:

• SC/ST – 5 years,

• OBC – 3 years,

• Women (for PGT/TGT/PRT/Librarian only) – 10 years,

• PwBD – 10/13/15 years,

• KVS/NVS employees – additional 5 years for applicable posts,

• Ex-servicemen – as per rules.

Selection Process

Selection methodology varies by post and may include:

• Computer Based Test (CBT)

• Skill Tests (for Steno, JSA, MTS, Lab Attendant etc.)

• Interview (mainly for Group-A posts & teaching posts)

Posting & Service Conditions

• Candidates can be posted anywhere in India.

• NVS is fully residential – teachers must reside on campus and perform residential duties.

• 10% special allowance for teaching posts in NVS (except Assistant Commissioner Academics).

• No requests for change of posting/location will be entertained.
