Oil India Limited (OIL), a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking, has released Advertisement No. HRAQ/REC-WP-B/26-125 dated 05 February 2026 inviting online applications for recruitment of Teachers, Librarian, and Instructors for Oil India Higher Secondary Schools at Duliajan & Moran and Group Vocational Training Centre at OIL Field Headquarters.

These vacancies are open only to eligible candidates from OIL’s production and exploration areas in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Educational Qualifications (Brief Overview)

Teachers (GT / PGT)

• Relevant Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in the subject

• B.Ed. qualification mandatory (except Computer Science where specified)

• Minimum 45%–50% marks as per post

• Language proficiency (Assamese / Hindi / English) as prescribed per subject

Librarian

• Bachelor’s Degree in Library & Information Science

Instructor Posts

• Class 10 pass

• 3-year Diploma in relevant engineering discipline

• Minimum 5 years work experience in oil & gas fields

• Diploma Apprentices from OIL with BOPT Certificate are also eligible

• Post Graduate Teacher: Up to 32 years

Selection Process

• Computer Based Test (CBT) (Objective type, MCQs)

• Total Marks: 100

• Duration: 2 hours

• No negative marking

• Sections include:

  • General English & GK

  • Reasoning & Computer Knowledge

  • Subject / Technical Knowledge

Final selection based on CBT merit + Document Verification
