Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility will be determined as on 01 January 2025.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university.

• Punjabi Stenography Qualification at the speed prescribed by the Board/Appointing Authority.

• Computer Qualification:

  • 120 hours of hands-on computer training in office productivity or DTP applications from a recognised institute
    OR

  • DOEACC ‘O’ Level or equivalent.

• Punjabi Language: Matriculation with Punjabi as a subject.

Age Limit

• General Category: 18–37 years

• SC/BC (Punjab): Up to 42 years

• State/Central Government Employees: Up to 45 years

• Ex-Servicemen: As per rules (service period + 3 years)

• Persons with Disabilities (Punjab): Up to 47 years

Salary

• Pay Scale: Rs. 21,700 – Rs. 69,100 (Level–3 of 7th CPC)

• Initial Salary: Rs. 21,700/- per month

Selection Process

Selection will take place in two stages:

1. Written Examination

Part-A (Qualifying):

• Punjabi Language Test (Matric level)

• Minimum 50% marks required

Part-B (Merit):

• Objective-type written test

• Minimum 40% marks required

2. Punjabi Stenography Test

• Dictation Speed: 80 wpm

• Error Limit: Maximum 8% mistakes

• Final Merit: Based on the number of mistakes (from 0 to 32)
