Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPBPB) has released a major recruitment notification for 41,424 Home Guard posts across the state. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Minimum Qualification: Class 10th (High School) from a recognized board.

Age Limit

• 18 to 30 years

• Age relaxation applicable as per government rules.

Honorarium / Allowances

• Daily Allowance: ?600 per working day, as per current Home Guard norms.

• Additional allowances during special duties are admissible as per rules.

Selection Process

The selection for UP Home Guard posts is carried out in multiple stages:

1. Written Examination

Candidates qualifying in PMT & PET will appear for the written exam.

• Type: Objective-type

• Total Questions: 100

• Total Marks: 100

• Duration: 2 hours

• Syllabus: General Knowledge

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates who clear PMT must undergo PET.

• Male Candidates:
  • Run 4.8 km in 28 minutes

• Female Candidates:
  • Run 2.4 km in 16 minutes

Marks obtained in the PET contribute significantly to the final merit.

4. Document Verification

Original certificates related to age, education, caste, and domicile will be verified before final selection.

5. Medical Examination

Candidates must pass the medical fitness test as per Home Guard standards.

6. Final Merit List

The final merit list is prepared district-wise based on:
