Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (Any one of the following)

• HS (50%) + 2-Year D.El.Ed

• HS (45%) + 2-Year D.El.Ed as per NCTE 2002

• HS (50%) + 4-Year B.El.Ed

• HS (50%) + 2-Year Diploma in Special Education

• Graduation + 2-Year D.El.Ed

Mandatory:

• Must have passed WBBPE TET.

• 5% relaxation in HS marks for SC, ST, OBC-A/B, EC, Ex-Servicemen, and PwD.

Medium of Instruction Requirement

Candidates must have studied the chosen medium (Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Oriya/Telugu) as First or Second Language at HS level.
For Santhali medium, proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Santhali (Ol-Chiki script) is mandatory.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)

• 18 to 40 years

• Upper age relaxation applicable for reserved categories.

Salary Structure

Assistant Teachers will receive salary and benefits as per the Government of West Bengal norms.
Primary teachers are generally placed in Pay Level 10 (Basic Rs. 28,900) + DA + HRA + other allowances.
