Who can apply (key eligibility)

• Nationality: Only Indian citizens.

• GATE: Only GATE-2025 marks (out of 100) are valid. Candidates must have appeared and qualified in the corresponding GATE-2025 paper (ME / EE / CE / IN).

• Educational qualification: Full-time BE/BTech/BSc (Engineering) in the relevant discipline from an approved university/institute.

  • Minimum 65% for UR/OBC-NCL

  • 60% for SC/ST/PwBD

• Age limit: Upper age limit 29 years as on the closing date. Relaxations apply for reserved categories as per Govt. of India rules. No upper age limit for DVC departmental candidates (GATE-2025 qualification still required).

Selection process

• Shortlisting is based solely on GATE-2025 marks in the relevant paper.

• Candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification (DV) in a ratio of 1:5 (five times the number of vacancies).

• In case of identical GATE marks at cutoff, all such candidates will be called for DV.

• Being GATE-qualified does not guarantee a DV call; shortlisting depends on rank and vacancies.

Probation, service bond & medical standards

• Probation: 1 year; pay scale Level-10 during probation.

• Service Agreement Bond:

  • Rs. 5,00,000 for OBC(NCL)

  • Rs. 2,50,000 for SC/ST/PwBD
    Candidates must serve 3 years after probation, totaling 4 years of mandatory service.

• Medical standards: Pre-employment medical fitness by DVC Medical Board is compulsory; no relaxation in standards.
