DAV Post Graduate College, Varanasi, an A+ NAAC accredited institution admitted to the privileges of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), has invited applications from eligible Indian citizens for the recruitment of Assistant Professor posts in multiple subjects.

The appointments will be made as per UGC regulations and Government of India norms.

Post Details & Vacancies

Applications are invited for Assistant Professor positions in the following departments:

Total Posts: 10 (One post per subject/category)

Pay Scale

• Academic Pay Level: Level 10

• Salary: 57,700 – 1,82,400 per month

• Plus admissible allowances as per UGC and Government of India norms. 

Eligibility Criteria (Assistant Professor)

Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfill UGC 2018 Regulations (as amended):

Option A:

• Master’s degree with 55% marks in the relevant subject (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD as per norms)

• Must have cleared UGC NET / CSIR NET

OR

Option B:

• PhD degree as per UGC regulations (NET exemption as per UGC rules)

PhD candidates registered before 11 July 2009 must fulfill UGC conditions regarding thesis evaluation, publications, and viva voce. 

Selection Process

• Screening of applications based on academic score

• Shortlisting as per UGC screening guidelines

• Interview by duly constituted Selection Committee

• Final selection based on interview performance

Academic score is used only for shortlisting, not final selection. 

Academic Score Criteria (Shortlisting)

Candidates will be evaluated on a 100-point scale, including:

• Graduation & Post-Graduation marks

• MPhil/PhD

• NET/JRF

• Research publications

• Teaching/Post-doctoral experience

• Awards and achievements

Application Fee

• 1000 for UR / OBC / EWS candidates

• No fee for SC / ST / PwBD / Women candidates

• Fee must be paid via MICR coded Demand Draft in favour of:
  Principal, DAV Post Graduate College, Varanasi
