The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata, an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoS&PI), Government of India, has invited applications for direct recruitment to multiple Group A, B, and C posts at its Headquarters and other centres across India.

1. Associate Scientist ‘A’ (Computer Science)

• Vacancies: 04

• Pay Level: 7 (44,900 – 1,42,400)

• Age Limit: Below 35 years

• Qualification: Master’s/Technological degree in relevant field with good academic record OR 3 years research/technical/project experience.

2. Section Officer (Accounts)

• Vacancies: 03

• Pay Level: 7 (44,900 – 1,42,400)

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with ACA/AICWA/MBA (Finance) OR Commerce graduate with SOGE and 5 years experience in Govt/PSU/Autonomous bodies.

3. Section Officer (General)

• Vacancies: 10

• Pay Level: 7 (44,900 – 1,42,400)

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years supervisory experience in Govt/PSU/Autonomous institutions.

4. Scientific Assistant ‘A’ / Scientific Assistant (Library) ‘A’

• Vacancies: 06 (Computer Science & Library Science)

• Pay Level: 6 (35,400 – 1,12,400)

• Qualification: Master’s/Honours/Diploma with relevant experience as per notification.

5. Engineering Assistant (Civil) ‘A’

• Vacancies: 01

• Pay Level: 6 (35,400 – 1,12,400)

• Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering with experience.

Detailed pay levels range from Pay Level 2 to Pay Level 6 depending on the post, with admissible allowances as per Government norms.

Job Location

Selected candidates may be posted at Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore, Tezpur, Giridih, and other ISI centres, with the possibility of transfer to any branch/unit.

Eligibility Criteria

• Indian citizens only.

• Educational qualifications must be from recognized institutions.

• Experience must be obtained after acquiring the minimum qualification.

• Upper age limit: Generally below 35 years (relaxation as per Government of India rules).
