ICAR–NRC on Yak Recruitment 2025: Interview for Field Worker, Young Professional, Project Associate & Research Associate Posts

The ICAR–National Research Centre on Yak (NRCY), Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh has invited applications from eligible candidates for various purely temporary research and project-based positions. The recruitment will be conducted through interviews in hybrid mode (online/offline) for multiple ongoing projects of the institute.

Post-wise Qualifications & Emoluments

Young Professional–II (04 Posts)

Essential Qualifications (Post-wise):

• Master’s degree in Textile Engineering / Fibre Science / Textile Chemistry / Apparel Production

• Graduate in Veterinary Science / Animal Science or PG in Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics

• PG in relevant subject or Graduate in Veterinary/Animal Science

• M.Tech in Dairy / Agricultural / Civil Engineering or MVSc (LPM / Animal Physiology / Biotechnology)

Emoluments: Rs. 42,000 per month (Fixed, No HRA)
Tenure: Initially 1 year, extendable up to maximum 3 years based on performance and requirement

Project Associate–II (01 Post)

Qualification:
Master’s degree in Agricultural Biotechnology / Agricultural Sciences / MVSc from a recognized university

Emoluments: Rs. 28,000 per month + HRA (as admissible)
Tenure: Till completion of the project (3rd year)

Research Associate–III (01 Post)

Qualification:
Ph.D. in Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Animal Genetics & Breeding / Biotechnology

Desirable: Experience in bioinformatics and NGS data analysis

Emoluments: Rs. 67,000 per month + HRA
Tenure: 2 years or till completion of project (whichever is earlier)

Research Associate–I (01 Post)

Qualification:
Ph.D. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Genetics / Bioinformatics / Animal Biotechnology with at least one SCI/NAAS-rated research paper

Emoluments: Rs. 58,000 per month + HRA
Tenure: 2 years

Field Worker (01 Post)

Qualification:
Graduate degree in any discipline
Desirable: Graduation in Life Sciences

Emoluments: Rs. 18,000 per month + HRA
Tenure: 1 year

Age Limit (As on Closing Date)

• Young Professional: 21–45 years

• Field Worker: Maximum 50 years

• Project Associate–II: Maximum 35 years

• Research Associate–I & III: Maximum 40 years

Age Relaxation:
Applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Women candidates as per Government / ICAR norms
