IOCL Recruitment 2025: Engineering & Technical Vacancies Across Indian Oil Refineries

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), a Maharatna PSU and India’s flagship energy major, has released a large-scale recruitment notification for Non-Executive Engineering and Technical positions under its Refineries Division. This recruitment drive opens opportunities for young diploma holders and science graduates to build a stable and rewarding career with one of India’s most respected public sector organizations.

The selected candidates will be posted at IOCL’s refinery and petrochemical units located across Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Odisha.

Posts Offered

IOCL is inviting applications for the following posts:

• Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Production)

• Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (P&U / P&U-O&M)

• Junior Engineering Assistant-IV / Junior Technical Assistant-IV (Electrical)

• Junior Engineering Assistant-IV / Junior Technical Assistant-IV (Mechanical)

• Junior Engineering Assistant-IV / Junior Technical Assistant-IV (Instrumentation)

• Junior Quality Control Analyst

• Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Fire & Safety)

Posts are refinery-wise and discipline-wise, with reservations applicable as per Government of India norms.

Educational Qualification (Post-wise)

• Diploma holders in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and allied branches

• B.Sc. graduates in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Industrial Chemistry

• Fire & Safety post requires 10+2 with Sub-Officer Course from NFSC and valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence

• Minimum 50% marks for UR/EWS/OBC and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD (where applicable)

Note: Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications such as B.E./B.Tech, MBA, CA, MCA, PhD etc. are not eligible.

Age Limit (as on 31 December 2025)

• Minimum: 18 years

• Maximum: 26 years (UR/EWS)

• Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC (NCL), PwBD and Ex-Servicemen as per rules.

Pay Scale & Benefits

Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of:

Rs. 25,000 – Rs. 1,05,000 (IDA pattern)

Selection Process

The selection process includes:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)

   • 100 questions | 120 minutes

   • No negative marking

   • Sections:

     • Subject Knowledge (75 marks)

     • Numerical Ability (15 marks)

     • General Awareness (10 marks)

2. Skill / Proficiency / Physical Test (SPPT) – qualifying in nature

Final selection will be based on CBT merit and successful qualification in SPPT.

• Rs. 300 for General / EWS / OBC (NCL) candidates

• No fee for SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen
