Central Sanskrit University (CSU), Delhi, has released Recruitment Notification 01/2026 for direct recruitment to various non-teaching and other academic posts in Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalayas (ASMs) and Adarsh Sanskrit Shodh Sansthans (ASSSs) across India. Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals through online mode followed by submission of hard copies.

The vacancies are distributed across 19 Adarsh Sanskrit institutions located in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, West Bengal, and Manipur.

Pay Levels (7th CPC)

• College Librarian: Academic Level-10 (57,700 – 1,82,400)

• Section Officer: Level-07 (44,900 – 1,42,400)

• Assistant / Professional Assistant: Level-06 (35,400 – 1,12,400)

• UDC: Level-04 (25,500 – 81,100)

• LDC: Level-02 (19,900 – 63,200)

Eligibility & Qualifications (Brief)

College Librarian

• Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science with 55% marks

• NET/SLET/SET or PhD as per UGC norms

• Knowledge of library computerization

• Desirable: MA/Acharya in Sanskrit, knowledge of manuscripts and epigraphy

Section Officer

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 3 years’ experience as Assistant (Level-6) or 8 years as UDC

• Computer proficiency

Assistant

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 3 years’ experience as UDC or equivalent

• Typing and computer proficiency

Professional Assistant

• Master’s Degree in Library Science with 2 years experience
  OR Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years experience

UDC

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 2 years experience as LDC

• Typing speed: 35 wpm (English) or 30 wpm (Hindi)

LDC

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Typing speed: 35 wpm (English) or 30 wpm (Hindi)

• Computer proficiency

Zonal Recruitment System

Institutions are grouped into five recruitment zones:

• Zone-1: UP, Bihar, Jharkhand

• Zone-2: Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand

• Zone-3: Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu

• Zone-4: Rajasthan, Maharashtra

• Zone-5: Manipur, West Bengal

Candidates can apply in only one zone per post category, but may apply for multiple posts by paying separate fees.

Important Note on Appointment Status

Selected candidates will be appointed by the respective Adarsh Sanskrit institution and will not be employees of the Government of India or Central Sanskrit University. CSU is only the nodal recruitment agency.
