Eligibility Criteria (as on cut-off date: 08.04.2026)

A. Mining Sirdar

• Education:

  • Matriculate (10th pass) from recognized Board

  • OR Diploma in Mining Engineering (3 years) / Degree in Mining Engineering from recognized Institute

• Statutory Certificates:

  • Valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency (Un-Restricted) from DGMS under CMR 2017 for both OC & UG mines

  • Valid Gas Testing Certificate

  • Valid First Aid Certificate

B. Surveyor

• Education:

  • Matriculate (10th pass) from recognized Board

  • OR Degree/Diploma in Mining / Mine Surveying Engineering

• Statutory Certificate:

  • Surveyors' Certificate of Competency (SCC) (Un-Restricted) under CMR 2017 or equivalent

C. Assistant Foreman (Electrical)

• Education:

  • Matriculate (10th pass) from recognized Board

  • Diploma (minimum 3 years) in Electrical Engineering from Government recognized Institute

Special Notes:

• Minimum qualifications acquired through distance/part-time not considered

• Higher relevant qualifications also allowed

• Valid Gas Testing & First Aid Certificate for Mining Sirdar as on 08.04.2026

Only Computer Based Test (CBT) – No Interview

CBT Pattern:

• Total Questions: 100 MCQ (Objective Type)

• Section A: Technical Knowledge (80 questions)

• Section B: General Awareness/Aptitude & Knowledge of CIL/SECL (20 questions)

• Each question: 1 mark | No negative marking

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

3. Register with name, mobile, email, post opted

4. Note User ID & Password received on email/mobile

5. Login, fill application form, upload documents (jpg/jpeg/pdf):

   • Recent passport size photo (not older than 3 weeks)

   • Signature with black ink

   • Matriculation certificate

   • Diploma/Degree certificate (as applicable)

   • Statutory competency certificates (Sirdar/Surveyor)

   • Gas Testing & First Aid certificate (for Mining Sirdar)

   • Caste/Income/PwBD/ESM certificates (if applicable)

6. Preview, correct if needed, submit

8. Take printout of final application for future reference

Important Instructions for Candidates

• Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in SECL and transferred to any CIL subsidiary.
