The University of Hyderabad (UoH), a premier Central University and an Institution of Eminence, has announced a Special Recruitment Drive – VI to fill 40 backlog reserved vacancies. This recruitment drive is exclusively for candidates from SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD categories for the positions of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor.

Vacancy & Pay Scale Breakdown

The vacancies are distributed across various academic levels as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.

• Professor (Academic Level 14): 17 vacancies | Pay Scale: 1,44,200 – 2,18,200

• Associate Professor (Academic Level 13A): 20 vacancies | Pay Scale: 1,31,400 – 2,17,100

• Assistant Professor (Academic Level 10): 03 vacancies | Pay Scale: 57,700 – 1,82,400

Age of Superannuation: 65 years for all positions.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications are based on UGC Regulations 2018.

1. Professor

• Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.

• Minimum 10 years of teaching or research experience.

• A minimum of 10 research publications in UGC-CARE/Scopus/Web of Science listed journals.

• Total research score of at least 120.

2. Associate Professor

• Ph.D. Degree and a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in teaching and/or research.

• A minimum of 7 research publications in recognized journals.

• Total research score of at least 75.

3. Assistant Professor

• Master’s degree with 55% marks in a relevant subject.

• Must have cleared NET (UGC/CSIR) or similar accredited tests like SLET/SET.

• Candidates with a Ph.D. awarded in accordance with UGC Regulations are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
